Born in Kyoto

Born in Kyoto, Japan.
As a child, he loved science and math, and before long he decided to pursue a career in physics.
D. program at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) as a special research student while playing the guitar. He specialized in theoretical condensed matter physics.
He then began working as a teacher and reconsidered the nature of his teaching after volunteering for the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Three years ago, he moved to an International Baccalaureate accredited school, where he teaches TOK and physics.
He also organizes a study group for teachers across Japan called "Learning TOK together" and serves as a facilitator for the IB TOK group.
He is currently interested in Antarctica. He likes to play the guitar and reading in his free time.

 

京都府出身。

子どものころは理科と算数が好きで、いつの間にやら物理の道を志すことに。

大学院博士課程では日本原子力研究開発機構(JAEA)に特別研究生として所属し、ギターを弾く傍ら博士号を取得。専門は物性理論物理学。

その後教員として働き始め、東日本大震災ボランティアをきっかけにその在り方を考え直す。

3年前に国際バカロレア認定校に移り、TOK・物理の指導を行う。

TOKを学び合いの会」と称した、全国の教員対象の学習会を主催したり、IB教育研究TOKグループのファシリテーターを務めたりしている。

現在は南極に興味あり。
